I’m a Director of Photography, lighting cameraman and camera operator based in Glasgow — working across Scotland, the UK and worldwide.
The work spans drama and film, commercials, and documentary. On the drama side that runs from An Clò Mòr, BBC ALBA’s flagship Gaelic series, to second-unit on T2 Trainspotting for Danny Boyle and The Lost King for Stephen Frears. On the factual side, the Emmy-nominated The Future with Hannah Fry for Bloomberg, and the CMA-Award-winning Choose Life. In between, campaigns for NatWest, Tesco, Scottish Opera and the People’s Postcode Lottery.
However the job is framed, the approach is the same: light to suit the work, compose carefully, and keep the set calm and collaborative. I crew up when a job needs it and work solo when it doesn’t — owner-operator with a full van-ready kit, so one booking gets you a complete unit.
