Q: What are you known for?

A calm set, a camera department sized to the budget, and images that hold up on a broadcast grade. Owner-operator — and one of very few DoPs in Scotland who can run a shoot entirely off batteries and renewables.

DoP, lighting cameraman and operator, based in Glasgow.

Drama and film, commercials, documentary. An Clò Mòr for BBC ALBA; second unit on T2 Trainspotting and The Lost King; The Future with Hannah Fry for Bloomberg; Choose Life. In between, campaigns for NatWest, Tesco, Scottish Opera and the Postcode Lottery.

Light to suit the work, compose carefully, keep the set calm. I crew up when a job needs it and work solo when it doesn't.
