Self-shooting on a Highland location in snow

Lighting Cameraman

Self-shooting documentary and factual. One person, one van, a full unit.

Small enough to follow the story wherever it goes.

Lighting and operating as one role — quick to set, quick to strike, and quick to build trust with a contributor who has never been filmed before.

Camera, lights, grip, audio and transport arrive together in the electric van. No hire house, no separate sparks call, no second vehicle.

What is a lighting cameraman?

One person designing the look, setting the light and shooting it — instead of a separate DoP, gaffer and operator. Broadcast-spec images from a footprint small enough for factual budgets and tight locations.
