Very few DoPs can offer this. An electric Kia PV5, charged on renewable electricity, powers your camera and lighting on location through its V2L system — zero generator fuel, zero tailpipe emissions in transit, and the data to prove it for albert.
Why it matters
The generator is the biggest thing you can cut.
On most location shoots, the diesel generator and unit transport are the largest single sources of on-set carbon. Removing the generator is the highest-impact change a production can make — and it’s exactly what the electric package does.

The PV5’s 71kWh battery is charged on a 100% renewable electricity tariff before the shoot — the carbon is designed out before we arrive.

On location, the van’s vehicle-to-load system delivers up to 3.6kW — running the LED lighting kit, camera, monitors and charging with no generator.
Report the numbers
Charging records and estimated emissions are formatted for the albert toolkit and available for supplier invoices and client reporting.

What is a sustainable or carbon-neutral film shoot?

It minimises the carbon footprint of production — most significantly by replacing diesel generators and fuel-burning transport with electric alternatives. I offer a fully electric package: a Kia PV5 charged on renewable electricity, powering camera and lighting on location through its V2L system, with no generator and zero tailpipe emissions in transit.
Can you power a shoot without a diesel generator?

Yes. The PV5’s V2L system delivers up to 3.6kW of clean power on location from its 71kWh battery — enough for an LED lighting kit, camera, monitors and charging. For most documentary, interview and small commercial setups this removes the generator entirely.
Is this albert certified?

The package is designed to support productions working toward albert certification and is formatted for the albert carbon calculator. Charging records and emissions data are available on request so you can evidence the camera and lighting unit in your reporting.
Will going electric limit what we can shoot?

For most factual, interview, branded and small-to-mid commercial work, no — the 3.6kW supply covers a modern LED kit comfortably. For very high-draw setups a hybrid approach is used: electric where it covers the load, conventional supply only where genuinely needed. Check a specific setup with the electric shoot planner.
